My art teacher talks about this guy a lot.
She even had us attempt to make art similar to his and then paste it all around the school.
Of course it was all gone within a few weeks, but it was still pretty cool to see how people reacted to it.

I love this so much. <3

Yes... and no. I prefer learning by asking. And I like people to answer. Plus they give it to me short and sweet and simple. I might google it eventually, but I'll probably let it slide if noone ever answers.

I understand what you mean and my english is too bad to try to explain to you who is he...i just can tell you how good "graffitiste" he was and a good help for a guy called Jean Michel Basquiat. Haring deserves your attention i think, good luck ^^

Yeah, alright. Well thanks anyway. I can understand being frustrated not being able to speak another language as well as you'd like.

Keith Haring is an artist who began painting and drawing on chalkboards around New York before the turn of the century.

He left seemingly simple murals all over the place, and stood back to see how people would react to his works and asked what they interpreted it as.

In the end he became pretty famous, and was friends with a few famous Pop Artists that we recognize the names of today[Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein...etc. ]

That's probably not the simple answer you wanted but that's all I can pull from my memory of a documentary I watched about him. ^^'

Hmmm... That's pretty good. (And actually I'm not familiar with Andy Warhol beyond the name and the soup can, so... ) But I get the basic idea, thanks.

Oh my goodness, this must have taken forever to complete! To have to cut out all of those letters for the same quote over and over again and then paint over it....the end result was worth it though! It looks so fascinating, I love it!!!! It's very unique and original, which is what I love about this! Congrats on the DD, you deserve it!!! :)

Legend!

My favourite quote of his is "Drawing is still basically the same as it has been since prehistoric times. It brings together man and the world. It lives through magic."

Great work, friend.
