I think he glues sheets of paper to a plastic sheeting. Check out Dura-Lar, it comes in rolls like 3 feet wide, by 25 and 40 feet long. It's a Mylar Acetate Hybrid. I like it alot. I've used it on a few of my reusable background stencils.
